Cyclones hold their own against nationally ranked speedsters
The Cyclones knew what they had to do to match wits with the fast-paced Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers. They kept a tight rein on the Stormers but couldn’t get over the hump, falling 98-92.
Cyclones face tough competition at Highland tourney
It was a tough weekend for the Cyclones at the William R. Bear/Dimond Bros. Insurance Tournament at Highland Community College, Dec. 12-13. They faced some of the toughest competition they’ll face all year, going 1-2, but are better prepared for what’s to come in the new year.
Four in a row for Cyclones
The Cyclones collected their fourth straight victory with a solid 83-75 win over College of DuPage on the road.
Offense on fire
Joliet Junior College was a formidable foe for the Cyclones, but once the offense lit up, Moraine Valley was in control. The men in green won the matchup 98-90.
Domination in blowout victory
Once the Cyclones got going in their matchup with Trinity Christian College JV, they sailed to victory, winning the effort 105-54.
Cyclones come out ahead in second half
Anything can happen early in the season, which was evident in the Cyclones tight matchup with Kishwaukee College. Despite some back and forth, the Cyclones were able to pull away at the end for an 83-74 victory.
Cyclones fall short in nail-biting finish
Turnovers and missed free throws were the Achilles heel for the Cyclones tonight in their final second 81-80 loss to Olive-Harvey College.
Cyclones rally late to top Talons
A second-half surge aided the Cyclones in their close matchup with Blackhawk Technical College. Moraine Valley ultimately came out ahead, 89-79.
Dominance on the road
Within the first few minutes of the game, the Cyclones were able to take the lead and upend Harper College, ultimately leading to the 72-49 victory.
Tough competition in Des Moines
The Cyclones ventured west to Des Moines for a two-game tournament. Although Moraine Valley lost both efforts, they put up a solid battle against tough competition.

This wasn’t how the Cyclones wanted to end the season, but it did in an 81-78 loss to Milwaukee Area Technical College in the NJCAA Region 4 Division II District B playoffs.
