Cyclones rout Owls

Cyclones rout Owls

Although the Owls scored first, once the Cyclones had the ball, they couldn't stop. They put the pressure on early while Anthony Taylor and Isiah Burd, the latter coming back from injury, ramped up the score to 50-24 at halftime.

In the second half, the Cyclones took a little gas off the pedal, allowing the Owls to nearly double their scoring output. However, Moraine Valley had enough of a lead to hold on. Kobe Adams also was back in the lineup and in short succession between threes, layups and free throws, put up nine points to get the Cyclones further ahead 83-58. He also banked a final three before the buzzer for the 24-point victory.

Burd led the offense with 24 points. Jalen Levy drained 19 buckets and added five rebounds. Adams finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Taylor led under the basket, hauling in seven rebounds. Trace Williams contributed eight assists and three steals.
