Crushing victory

Crushing victory

In their fifth straight victory, the Cyclones crushed North Central College JV 80-63.

Although the finish was a blowout, the Cyclones didn't just glide to the win. North Central started out with a lead until Moraine Valley pulled away to an eventual 26-12 lead after 10 minutes thanks to some consistent scoring. However, the Cardinals went on their own offensive run while the Cyclones stalled in the last five minutes of the first half. By halftime, the Cyclones only held a 38-37 lead thanks to a last second layup from Anthony Taylor.

The second half saw the Cyclones slowly pick up the pace and pull away for the win. Kobe Adams took the lead on offense with 13 points, but Ahmad Jarad made a big impact this game with 12 points, all on three-pointers. Taylor added 11 points and led with six assists and six rebounds. Trevon Jones also had 11 points with five rebounds.

The Cyclones now have some needed time off going into the Thanksgiving break. Their next game is Monday, Nov. 29, at home against Governors State University JV.
