Cyclones pull away from Pioneers

In the race for Skyway dominance, the Cyclones tacked on their fourth conference victory over Prairie State College, winning the matchup 84-69

It took a few minutes before either team scored, but once Juvon Crawford sunk a bucket and free throw, it began the Cyclones lead throughout the rest of the game. The Pioneers kept within range of the Cyclones in the first half, but Enari Thomas made several drives to the basket to keep his team ahead. At the halftime buzzer, Frank DeCarlo made a steal and scored two for his team to stay up 34-29.

In the second half, Prairie State went on some runs while Moraine Valley struggled to score. They came within two points before Amarion Johnson made some clean blocks and Ahmad Jarad sunk three consecutive three-pointers to add some cushion to the lead. The Cyclones continued to control the game through the end.

Thomas led the scoring with 18 points while Javonte McKenzie added 15. Jarad collected 14 points, 12 from three-pointers, while Crawford added 13.
