The Cyclones pulled ahead at the right time for an 87-81 victory over Illinois Valley Community College.

Both teams battled through the first half with the Cyclones taking a narrow 40-39 lead. What helped Moraine Valley in the second half was second chance points and rebounds. That gave them the slight edge they needed for this win at home.

Amarion Johnson had a career high 26 points along with 10 rebounds and five blocks. Enari Thomas added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Davion Lawrence contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds.
