All-around team effort yields victory

After suffering a tough loss last Thursday to start the year, the Cyclones played one of their best all-around team games in a 100-90 victory over College of Lake County.

The Cyclones (13-4) were evenly matched with the Lancers (14-3), that came into this game winning nine of their last 10. Christopher Harrison was back in the Cyclones' lineup, so it took more time for the team to get in sync. Once they did that, they played hard on defense, shared the ball and played to win. The holiday break was a challenge as the Cyclones were out of routine, missing players and playing tough teams. Losing that last game didn't sit well, but now they're focused with additional significant games to come.

Dontia Johnson finished with 28 points and seven rebounds. Jalen Hughes had a strong floor game, banking 13 with four assists. Harrison knocked down 26 points while Trevon Jones added 14 points and nine rebounds.
