The Cyclones started the new year on the right foot with a home win over Aurora University JV, 95-81.

Missing a couple of starters, a couple players stepped up including Enari Thomas, who led the offense with 29 points and added six assists. Kobe Adams (15 points, six rebounds), Luis Acevedo (12 points, five rebounds), Javonte McKenzie (12 points) and Taijon Barry (11 points, six rebounds, three steals) also contributed.

The Cyclones jumped to an early lead and held it steady for the first half, up 58-44 at the half. Although the offense eased up in the second half, Moraine Valley was still able to capture their first win of the new year before conference play begins next week.
