Cyclones start Skyway action with loss

The Cyclones are working on finishing out their games after their latest loss to Morton College.

In their first Skyway Conference game of the year, the Cyclones had to contend with a good defensive team in the Panthers. There was a little back and forth action in the first half when the Cyclones were down eight by halftime. Moraine Valley took a brief lead with 15 minutes to go, but the Panthers answered with a three while the Cyclones missed on three straight possessions. The growing nine-point deficit was too much to recover from, and the Cyclones fell 84-70.

Anthony Taylor led the offense with 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Jace Lee banked 14 points and four rebounds. Trace Williams tallied 13 points and five rebounds while Isiah Burd had 12 points for the night and led with six rebounds.
