The Cyclones opened the new year with a 79-70 victory over the McHenry County College Scots.

To start Skyway Conference action, the Cyclones jumped ahead of the Scots early and maintained a lead for their first win of 2024. Enari Thomas led the offense with 23 points. Amarion Johnson collected a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) along with six blocks. Luis Acevedo added 11 points.
