The Cyclones lost a tough one to the Waubonsee Community College Chiefs, who now stand atop the Skyway Conference standings.

It was a close game through both halves with the Chiefs holding a slight two-point lead at halftime. The score changed hands, and Moraine Valley held the lead with eight minutes left. But Waubonsee battled back, dealing the Cyclones the narrow 84-79 loss.

Enari Thomas led the scoring with 30 points followed by Luis Acevedo with 13 and Deven Jiles with 10. Davion Lawrence grabbed nine rebounds while Johnson (three steals, four blocks) and Acevedo each had six.
