It took a few minutes to get there but once the Cyclones took the lead against Prairie State College in the first half, they held on to the end, collecting an 87-62 victory.

The Pioneers led at the start, and it wasn't until the 11-minute mark that Juvon Crawford was able to score the go-ahead basket (18-17). Moraine Valley continued expanding the lead while Prairie State had a string of missed shots. Crawford led the charge and sunk several consecutive shots in the final moments of the first half, giving the Cyclones a 42-25 lead. Although the Pioneers gained some ground in the second half, the Cyclones continued their scoring barrage for the conference win.
