Cyclones finish strong, eye bigger goals for next year
It took a few weeks for the Moraine Valley Community College women’s soccer team to gel, but once they did, they looked like a new team and secured big wins.
A heartbreaking end
They had the fight, desire and talent, but it just wasn’t enough for the Cyclones against a tough Black Hawk squad. They fell in the second round of Region 4 playoffs, 3-2.
Victory at home in Round 1 of playoffs
It had been more than two weeks since the Cyclones faced an opponent, so tensions were high as they started the first round of the NJCAA Region 4 playoffs. Moraine Valley came out charging, however, getting an early leg up over Elgin Community College and earning the 2-1 win at home to advance.

The Cyclones are on a roll. They exuded pure domination in their fourth straight shutout and sixth consecutive win.
