Home opening blowout

In their season opener at home, the Cyclones dominated the floor and handily defeated Governors State University JV 103-54.

Although the Jaguars seemed to challenge the Cyclones early, it didn't last long. Moraine Valley started extending their lead while holding the Jaguars to two points for five minutes. When the Cyclones missed a series of shots, Governors came within one point and that was as close as they got. Moraine Valley found their rhythm and pulled away by nearly 20 points in the first half.

After halftime, the Cyclones continued to pressure the Jaguars while scoring every chance they could, sailing to the nearly 50-point victory.

Enari Thomas led the team with 18 points followed by Ahmad Jarad with 15, all on three-pointers. Javonte McKenzie also added 14 points. Davion Lawrence and Amarion Johnson each collected 10 rebounds.
