In their second to last game of the regular season, the Cyclones fizzled out in the final minutes to the Oakton Community College Owls.
The Cyclones didn't have that same spark they've had the last few games. They struggled to score and were unable to stop the Owls' offense. The score was tight for most of the game with the Cyclones holding a narrow 32-28 lead at halftime thanks to some last minute free throws from Kobe Adams and Anthony Taylor.
Roughly two minutes into the second half, the Owls tied the game. Whenever the Cyclones recaptured the lead, the Owls tied it back up. Within the last minute of the game, some key free throws for the Owls and missed shots for the Cyclones saw the 73-69 loss dealt to Moraine Valley.
Trace Williams led the effort with 15 points, five rebounds and four steals. Adams and Taylor each had 12 points while Isiah Burd and Jalen Levy each scored 11.
