With all cylinders firing, the Cyclones earned a big Skyway Conference victory, going 89-80 over the visiting College of Lake County Lancers.

The Cyclones scored first and never lost the lead after that. TJ Lee scored first for Moraine Valley while their big man under the basket, Grantas Sakenis, was able to stop the Lancers offense and edge his way to 16 points. Markell Johnson earned his first of five three-pointers early in the first half and helped the Cyclones build a 20-point lead in the second half. At halftime, Moraine Valley was ahead 42-31.

The Cyclones continued to lead in the second half but allowed the Lancers to go on an 11-0 run with two minutes left on the clock. However, that wasn't enough to damper the Cyclones' streak as Juvon Crawford and Deven Jiles collected a few layups and free throws to seal the win.

Jelani McGregor led the offense with 22 points followed by Jiles with 16. Sakenis scored 16 while Markell Johnson collected 15, both career highs.
