Even after a 10-day stretch without a game, the Cyclones were able to overcome a talented Wright College, winning the matchup 99-83.
Some Cyclones were rusty, however, there were always two guys making plays to keep their team ahead. At halftime, the Cyclones held a commanding 49-37 lead. The second half played out similar to the first as they held on to the victory. Overall, Moraine Valley dominated the glass, grabbing a collective 57 to the Rams' 35.
Five Cyclones finished their scoring in double digits, and three of them had double-doubles. Ryan Saunders started off solid with his 3-point shooting and offensive rebound putbacks. He finished with 26 points and 18 rebounds. Christopher Harrison had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Dontia Johnson (10 rebounds), Zion Fortune and Trevon Jones each scored 14. Jalen Hughes led with 10 assists.
