Not their day

Not their day

It just wasn't the Cyclones' day as they lost a tough 2-0 battle to the visiting College of Lake County Lancers.

Within the first 10 minutes, the Lancers scored and deflated the Cyclones. Although Moraine Valley had a number of chances to score, the Lancers' defense put a stop to any resurgence. Even with their push, intensity and energy, the Cyclones could not get on the board.

"It was a good back and forth game. I give them a lot of credit. They were fantastic defensively and really had some special players make some special plays," said Head Coach Al Palar. "We just have to be better going forward. We have to find a way to get it done, and we will."

With this loss, the Cyclones are 3-2 in the Skyway conference and will not be able to reclaim a fifth straight championship. They still, however, have a shot at a region championship.
