The Cyclones showed their character and more in their faceoff with Triton College that went into two overtimes. Although Moraine Valley ultimately lost the battle 3-2, they pushed hard through every minute.

The first half saw the Cyclones go down 1-0, but they picked up the pace in the second half where Adriana Moreno and Agnes Lojek each scored. Meanwhile, Aoife Finn and Alyssa Froylan were tough on defense in the back, and keeper Raneen Betouni kept a tight ship at the net to stave off attacks from the Trojans. With the game tied at 2-2, the fight continued into two overtimes. It wasn't until 40 seconds left in the second overtime that one of the Trojans was able to maneuver through the Cyclones to score.
