Holding on

Still holding on to a limited lineup, the Cyclones pushed their way to a 4-3 win over Wheaton College Club.

The Cyclones had only 11 healthy players for this game, so it was important to leave without extra injuries. They did just that along with a win.

The game started fast with both teams scoring in the first 15 minutes. Moraine Valley was able to get ahead 2-1 before halftime. In the second half, Wheaton quickly found an equalizer. However, the Cyclones capitalized on some chances, including an own goal from Wheaton. The Cyclones only allowed one final goal with 10 minutes left, but still hung on to the victory. Anna Kois, Abby Palumbo and Xochiquetzal Torres each scored.

"I thought we played well throughout the game given all the circumstances. Wheaton definitely had some difference makers on their team that made it tough for us to defend and keep them out of our goal. Luckily for us, we were able to find our scoring touch just enough to leave Wheaton with a win," said Head Coach Al Palar.
