The Cyclones traveled out to face their conference rival Waubonsee Community College, but came up just short in the 4-3 loss.
It took only a minute into the game before the Chiefs scored first. Although Olivia Jeziorczak had several close attempts, the Chiefs defense stopped her. Waubonsee scored twice more with a fourth goal coming off a shot deflected from a Cyclones' defender. Moraine Valley was finally able to get on the board just before halftime from Heather Canny as she scored one in the right corner.
The second half saw the Cyclones play like their dominate selves, stopping the Chiefs' offense and scoring two more goals. Ten minutes in, Camila Barragan got the ball in the left corner to split the deficit. Canny scored again off a penalty kick in the 70th minute. Lesly Echavarietta nearly knotted the score but hit the crossbar. Although it was a rough start, Ximena Delgado collected 10 saves in the game.
