In the last four years, the Cyclones haven't lost or tied a game during the regular season. On Sept. 19, that streak ended in a 2-2 deadlock with North Central College JV.

All around the teams were evenly matched, but the Cyclones battled every step. Each time the Cyclones scored, the Cardinals equalized the game. Karen Montoya scored in the first 14 minutes, but North Central countered 21 minutes later. After halftime, Mairead Ruane (assist from Jasmine Quezada) got her team ahead, which disappeared a minute later, resulting in the rare tie.
