In their season home opener, the Cyclones dominated Kankakee Community College, shutting out the Cavaliers 6-0.

Even with a handful of Cyclones playing different positions because of injury, that didn't stop them from taking control of this game.

In her college debut, Heather Canny earned the hat trick. Also scoring goals was freshmen Camila Barragan and Arlenne Zarate along with sophomore Ximena Delgado. Barragan also had three assists. Olivia Jeziorczak, normally a midfielder, was temporarily moved to goalkeeper this game, but maintained the shutout.
