Moreno earns hat trick in 5-0 shutout of Kougars

In their final home game of the regular season, the Cyclones did not disappoint, blanking Kishwaukee College 5-0.

This also was sophomore night, adding an energetic boost to the home team. Right out of the gate the Cyclones took control, maintaining most of the possession in the first half. Adriana Moreno earned her first of three goals roughly five minutes in as she slipped the ball past the keeper. Three minutes later, Reagan Cameron shot a laser over the keeper's head. Barely a minute after that, Moreno struck again during a scuffle in front of the net to put her team up 3-0.

The second half saw a less aggressive Cyclone team, but that didn't stop Moreno from earning the hat trick (her second of the season) five minutes in after she faced off with the goalkeeper. The Kougars had a few more shots on goal and more defensive fire that held the Cyclones off until the 7:39-minute mark when Natalie Orozco sent a pass to Sarah Hughes for the final goal. Overall, the Cyclones made 22 shot attempts to the Kougars' four in this solid victory.
