Second half goals keep Cyclones on top

Second half goals keep Cyclones on top

It took longer than usual, but the Cyclones eventually stepped up their offense yesterday to take a 2-1 win over Muskegon Community College at home.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first half, but the Cyclones changed that just after halftime. Within three minutes of the second half, Xochiquetzal Torres-Montez got her team on the board with a pass from Brooke Janeczek. Ten minutes later the Jayhawks scored an equalizer. Mairead Ruane was able to get one past the keeper in the 70th minute (assist from Patricia Rzadkosz) to give the Cyclones the edge.
