In their first conference matchup this season, the Cyclones struggled to find the net, falling 2-1 to Elgin Community College.

The Cyclones started slowly while the Spartans had all the fire and made several shots on goal. Although Moraine Valley held off the Elgin offense in the second half, they couldn't score despite several tries. The Cyclones hit the crossbar twice and found two other chances, but couldn't finish.
