Since being reinstated in 2000, the women’s cross country team has won several Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championships (2024, 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2010, 2006, 2003) [starting in 2025, the conference did not hold a championship race] and NJCAA Region 4 team championships (2025, 2024, 2021, 2015, 2014, 2006, 2003). They have appeared eight times as a team in the NJCAA national tournament (2025- 25th place, 2024- 26th place; 2021- 17th place; 2015- 32nd place; 2014- 24th place; 2010- 26th place; 2006- 19th place; 2003- 11th place) while several individuals have run it over the years.
Fifteen runners have been named to the All-NJCAA Region 4 and All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference teams both years they competed at Moraine Valley: Mariah Karamagianis (2023, 2024), Annabel Lipkie (2023, 2024), Jasmeene Guido (2022, 2021), Natalia Wrobel (2022, 2021), Victoria Granz (2019, 2018), Calista Stefaniak (2018, 2017), Hannah Funk (2016, 2015), Yuliana Olivares (2016, 2015), Abby Correa (2015, 2014), Aileen Gorman (2014, 2013), Alex Dovgin (2011, 2010), Ashley Shares (2010, 2009), Sandra Hubbard (2007, 2006), Nicki Hogan (2006, 2005) and Ellie Ruiz (2004, 2003).
Runners who earned All-NJCAA Region 4 honors both years they ran for Moraine Valley include: Rylee Milenkovic (2025, 2024), Desiree Mendoza (2025, 2024), Mia Villa (2025, 2024), Mariah Karamagianis (2024, 2023), Annabel Lipkie (2024, 2023), Jasmeene Guido (2022, 2021), Natalia Wrobel (2022, 2021), Victoria Granz (2019, 2018), Calista Stefaniak (2018, 2017), Hannah Funk (2016, 2015), Yuliana Olivares (2016, 2015), Abby Correa (2015, 2014), Aileen Gorman (2014, 2013), Alex Dovgin (2011, 2010), Ashley Shares (2010, 2009), Sandra Hubbard (2007, 2006), Nicki Hogan (2006, 2005) and Ellie Ruiz (2004, 2003).
As a freshman in fall 2025, Eva Zimmerman became the NJCAA Region 4 Runner of the Year, only the second time in Cyclone history a male or female runner has earned that honor (the last time being in 1989). She also earned NJCAA Coaches Association All-American after the national championship, which goes to the top 15% of finishers (she finished 39th out of 321 runners).
Natalia Wrobel finished first in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Championship in fall 2022, becoming the Skyway Most Valuable Runner.
Calista Stefaniak earned Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Most Valuable Runner in 2018 after finishing first in the conference competition.
Stefaniak placed 104th out of 309 runners at the 2017 NJCAA Cross Country Championship, becoming the fifth fastest female runner at Moraine Valley.
Aileen Gorman was named NJCAA All-American while running 19:11 at the 2014 national tournament. She set the 5K school record and is the fastest Cyclone woman runner. Gorman also was named the 2013 Skyway Most Valuable Runner.
Ashley Shares was the 2010 Skyway Most Valuable Runner and ran the second fastest 5K time on the Cyclones’ cross country course (19:22). She holds the Cyclone 6K record (23:53) run in 2009.
Claudia Nieves earned Skyway Most Valuable Runner in 2003.
In 2017, 2016 and 2013, the team earned Academic All-NJCAA Team designation from the National Junior College Cross Country Coaches Association, ranking fourth, third and eighth, respectively, among Division I colleges.
Since the program was reinstated in 2000, more than 35 women have been named NJCAA Cross Country Scholar All-Americans.
