Topping off the season at the Big Dance

If there's one way to finish a college running career, it's at the national tournament. All three Cyclones ran well to end their season at the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Championship in Tallahassee, Florida.

This trio has worked intensely all season, earning an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship, and culminated with solid racing on the big stage despite some warm conditions. Natalia Wrobel placed 73rd out of 218 runners in 21:31 over the 5K course. Olivia Wrobel crossed the line in 143rd in 23:22 while Jasmeene Guido took 196th in 26:22.

"The women raced well. They started out a bit slower than I would have liked but kept moving up throughout the race, which was great," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "Natalia passed 59 people after the first mile, Olivia passed 18, and Jasmeene passed five. I am so proud of them and everything they were able to accomplish this year. Ending their Cyclones career at nationals is the best way to do it."
