Trio runs fastest times of season

Although the Cyclones only fielded three of their five runners for the Bradley Pink Classic, they each earned personal bests.

This was the last regular season meet for the women's team with two others nursing injuries. But that didn't stop the trio was running their quickest times of the season.

Natalia Wrobel led the way in 141st place in 26:10, tying for the 10th fastest 6K runner at Moraine Valley. Following her was Isabelle Vaccaro in 114th in 26:15 and Maria Thurman in 181st in 28:48

"Natalia, Isabelle and Maria took advantage of the nice weather and great competition. They had their best race of the season, so that's a good confidence boost going into the championship race in two weeks," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "The goal now is to get and keep everyone healthy and use the momentum we got from this meet to make some noise in the championship race."

The Cyclones have their biggest final regular season race of the year — NJCAA Region IV/Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championships — on Oct. 30.
