Three runners hold their own

Cyclone women's cross country was able to run three and hold their own among a field of NCAA Division III colleges at the Gil Dodds Invitational at Wheaton College.

As more runners come off the DL, they're inching closer to racing a full team at these competitions. Of the three, Isabelle Vaccaro was finally able to race and lead the way in 27:38 to finish 113th out of 187 runners. Maria Thurman crossed the line in 30:04 for 154th place while Stephanie Tuscher was back at it, finishing in 34:36 in 181st.

"It was nice to add a couple more women to the start line with Isabelle and Stephanie making their season debuts next to Maria. The competition was top notch, and our women showed the right effort," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "There's still plenty of work to do these next six weeks leading up to the championship race, and I'm excited to get the full team racing next time out."
