Victoria Granz ends running career at nationals

Victoria Granz ended her Cyclone running career at the highest level possible—nationals. She ran and represented her college well at the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championship in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This was the second consecutive year Granz competed at the Big Dance, outdoing last year's performance by over a minute. She ran 22:31 for 177th place out of 290 runners. The altitude was a challenge for most runners from the Midwest in addition to a strong field of competitors, but Granz ran a strong race. Two of her teammates from the men's team raced as well.

"This meet was the culmination of Victoria's hard work over the past two seasons. I'm so proud of how she handled herself," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "We had a feeling the altitude would play a role, but there was nothing to do but race. She didn't feel the best going into it, but she toughed it out and placed well."
