In their final regular season match, the Cyclones maintained perfection with their eighth consecutive victory, this time coming over Illinois Valley Community College. The Cyclones are undefeated this season going into the Region 4 tournament.

This wasn't an easy win, however. First, the match started later than the teams are used to (5 p.m.), and the Eagles weren't ready to let the Cyclones coast to another victory. Johann Laran battled through a three-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles while Zaina Daghash worked through two long sets at No. 5. Gabriela Dabrowski earned the one bagel of the day in her victory at No. 6 singles.

Moraine Valley will host regionals Oct. 11 and 12 on their courts. Top placing finishers and/or teams will qualify for the national tournament in Texas, May 3-7.
