Cyclones edge out Scots

Cyclone women's tennis managed to leap the bar the set the day before by edging out a tough McHenry County College Scots squad 5-4.

In their final Skyway Conference match of the season, the Cyclones gave it everything they had. Hannah Markiewicz at No. 1 singles had a big match, coming back after being down in the tiebreaker (4-6, 6-3, 10-7). Victoria Maratea at No. 2 singles, Trisha Meyers at No. 3 and Olivia Preston at No. 5 each won their matches. Preston also battled through a tiebreaker for the win (5-7, 6-4, 10-4). Amanda Hess and Meyers were the lone victors at No. 2 doubles (7-5, 6-1).

"I'm very excited to see how much more they can give. They continue to prove they've got a lot in the tank still. I can't wait to see what else they do," said Head Coach Matt Marusarz.
