Women's tennis finally competes in season opener

Women's tennis was the second Cyclone sport to come out of hibernation this fall and get back to competition. They faced College of Lake County on Sept. 17 and suffered a narrow 4-5 loss, but not without a fight.

In the Cyclones' official season opener, they saw five three-set tiebreakers out of nine matches. They are still working out the kinks in what will be an even shorter season. Wins for the day came from sophomore Trisha Meyers (fourth singles) and freshmen Nada Hinnawi (sixth singles), Ana Sutko and Madelyn Stepuszek at second doubles, and Allie Macelli and Amanda Hess (third doubles).
