Two Cyclones PR at Lucian Rosa Invite

A tough course and muddy conditions couldn't stop the Cyclone men's cross country team from finishing sixth out of nine teams at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Suhayb Froukh led the pack, crossing the finish line in 28:47 for 32nd place. Grant Wright (28:57, 34th), Carlos Galvan (29:18, 38th), Matt Pierce (30:36, 53rd), Nate Hackett (31:28, 59th), Chris Santoyo (32:59, 65th) and Nick Marfoe (33:47, 69th) followed, with two guys running personal bests.

"This course is not an easy one, but I feel we still ran well. Nate and Chris ran PR's, which is great for their confidence. We spoke about the third mile being the toughest part because of the long hill, and they responded in a positive way by attacking it," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "The season is winding down, and we're putting things together every day that will help us at the end of October."
