The Cyclones kept their playoff hopes alive with a pivotal 3-2 victory over Elgin Community College.
As the season starts to wind down, every win helps. This was the last conference match and fourth to last game of the season. It also kept the Cyclones over .500 (6-4-2).
Pedro Guzman was player of the game with a goal, assist and solid defensive effort throughout. Tristan Kelly and Francisco Diaz scored the other two goals. In the net, Eduardo Sanchez made a few big plays, including stopping a penalty kick to kill the Spartans' momentum in the second half.
