The Cyclones just needed a little more time after a slow start in their matchup with nationally ranked Prairie State College. Although they lost 3-2, Moraine Valley put up a valiant fight.

When these teams met last season, the Cyclones were shut out. That was the case in the first half when they struggled to get the ball in the net. Meanwhile, the Pioneers went up 2-0 before halftime. The Cyclones were able to sail one in the net early in the second half and then tack on another one near the end of regulation. Pedro Guzman and Gustavo Alvarez scored the goals.

"The slow start hurt us, but we'll keep trying and fight to the end," said Head Coach Chris Koloffon. "We are very close, we just need to get on a run."
