In their season and home opener, the Cyclones worked through a tough and experienced opponent in Malcolm X College, ending in a 1-1 tie in overtime.

Patrick Canny scored the lone goal with an assist from Adam Critchett. The Cyclones played well and dominated a solid, older and largely international team, making 24 shots on goal.

"We have lots to work on, but it was a solid performance for mid-August," said Head Coach Chris Koloffon.
