It was a wild season for Cyclone men's soccer. Because of extended eligibility for athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several players will return for the fall season. However, the Cyclones bid farewell to four athletes.
Connor Baker has been a force guarding the net for the Cyclones the last two seasons. In fall 2019, he was ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I for his save percentage (.911). He is transferring to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to pursue a bachelor's degree in finance. He may play club soccer.
Marco Calixto (#22), midfielder, and Piotr Prokop (#25), defense, were new additions to the team for this shortened season. They played well and made their marks on the team. They each will transfer to a yet-to-be-determined university.
Juan Valencia ends his second season with the Cyclones. He put in the work these two years to be a strong defensive force while going to school and working a full-time job. He will transfer to a four-year university.
"All four of these guys are talented athletes and very smart, so I know they do well academically and will move on to more success," said Head Coach Chris Koloffon.
