The tension between Moraine Valley and Morton is always palpable on game day. Both teams wanted to win, and both put on the pressure. But the Cyclones came up just short.
It was a slow start for the Cyclones, but they were still able to hold off the Panthers' offense. Eventually Moraine Valley organized and dominated the latter part of the first half but with no scoring by either team. Because defense was on high alert, there weren't too many shots in this game. However, in the 75th minute, the Panthers found the back of the net to go up 1-0. Jluis Arreola had a chance to tie it in the 85th minute, but the shot went over the goal, leaving the Cyclones with the loss.
