The cold rain couldn't stop the Cyclones from pulling out a 3-0 shutout of Oakton Community College in the Region IV quarterfinals.
The Cyclone defense was tough, and the guys have been playing even better than usual. Even in poor weather, they were able to pull off the win to advance to the semifinals. Michael Strama scored a solid first goal with an assist from Fernando Alvarez and Omar Barragan. Vasili Vouris (assist by Omar Barragan and Fernando Barragan) and Declan Kelly (assist by Omar Barragan) each scored in the second half to put it away.
They next face the always challenging Morton College on Oct. 29 in the region semis.
