Cyclones golf got back into action in one tournament before the NJCAA Region 4 Tournament.

After a winter of working at their own pace, the Cyclones reconvened for the Melee in Morris Golf Tournament at the Nettle Creek Country Club. Among some four-year universities and region colleges, the Cyclones placed 10th overall. Casey Taylor finished 12th overall with a 78 to lead Moraine Valley.

Matthew Pawyza finished with an 84 followed by Ryan Flynders (90) and Sebastian Rak (96).

"I think we played pretty acceptable golf for our first round out. Casey had one bad hole, other than that, he was right there," said Head Coach Matt Lovelace. "They were all nervous to start but held it together. They were consistent and shot pretty close to their average. Hopefully they'll play even better after this."
