Cyclones take second in opening Skyway match

In their first Skyway Conference match of the season Aug. 25, the Cyclones put up some good numbers at the Blackberry Oaks Golf Course for second place.

This was the first view of their conference competitors and what they are up against this fall. They played well with Michael Smeraldo and Randy Miller leading the way each scoring a 79. Tommy Schaaf followed with 82 followed by Noah Holstrom (87) and Jack McDonald (88).

College of Lake County had a few ringers on their team putting out tough scores to beat, but the Cyclones are on the right path to hang in there and stay competitive.

"I was very happy with our scores. The guys were nervous but handled it very well," said Head Coach Matt Lovelace.
