Sophomore Send-off: Men’s basketball

The 2019-20 Cyclone men's basketball team finished their season with an overall 25-7 and 11-3 conference record. They were ranked 11th in the NJCAA Division II at one point, knocked down the No. 3-ranked team in the nation and earned a co-conference championship to top the season. The Cyclones saw plenty of success, especially for first-year Head Coach John Chappetto. He had plenty to say about his sophomores moving on.

"I will never forget our sophomore group. They welcomed me with open arms and made our first year very enjoyable and successful. They all have bright futures ahead of them because they all work hard."

Jalen Hughes
"Jalen will be attending Indiana University Northwest. He was our team leader who gave it his all every day. He will be a top player in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference."

Ryan Saunders
"Ryan will be attending Thomas University. He was a joy to be around especially when he was hot from the three. But in all seriousness, Ryan was fun to be around, and he is going to be missed."

Zion Fortune
"Zion is still undecided on a school. He was a gentleman and will make whatever school he attends very happy they recruited him. He always plays hard, works hard off the court and is a TEAM guy."
