In continuing to acquire top talent, the Cyclones signed their latest, Deandre Hagan, a 6-5 senior forward from Brother Rice High School.

A three-year varsity player, Hagan brings plenty of defensive experience as well as skill from the 3-point line. He has collected a litany of honors and accomplishments including being named first team All-Chicago Catholic League and All-tournament player at both the Joliet West Thanksgiving Tournament and the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic. He also helped his team win the regional championship in 2018. Hagan truly left his mark at Brother Rice by becoming the 12th all-time scorer (858 points) and fourth all-time rebounder (482).

"Deandre definitely left his mark here at Brother Rice. He has the ability to catch and shoot from a deep range. He made over 110 3-pointers in his career while shooting over 36%. He also can score inside against smaller defenders. Deandre rebounds the ball very well for his size and rebounds out of his area. He has the ability to guard multiple positions defensively and can use his length to his advantage," said Brother Rice Head Coach Bobby Frasor. "I believe Deandre's best basketball is still ahead of him as he continues to develop his fundamentals. Coach Chappetto and Moraine Valley are getting a high-energy player with a lot of upside."

"Deandre is a great pickup for us. We are very excited to have him at Moraine Valley. He's a well-rounded player who instantly becomes our greatest threat from the 3-point range. The lengthening of the 3-point line is not going to be a problem as he shoots NBA distance threes already," said Cyclone Head Coach John Chappetto. "Our goal is to strengthen the other aspects of his game to hopefully see him move on to the highest level possible of college basketball."
