The Moraine Valley baseball program boasts two former players who moved on to Major League Baseball, including Bobby Madritsch (1997-98) who played for the Seattle Mariners starting in 2005 and pitcher Brian Loconsole (2010) who was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 20th round of the 2013 MLB draft. Loconsole pitched for the Windy City Thunderbolts (2016-17), Lincoln Saltdogs (2018) and Les Capitales de Quebec (2018).

NJCAA All-American baseball players include: pitcher Bill Smith (2008-second team), infielder Eric Kruse (2006-second team) and outfielder Ed Scopelitis (1993-second team)

Head Coach Al Budding (1987-2005) was inducted into the Cyclone Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.

Former southpaw Austin Wallace was an All-Conference player at Moraine Valley in 2011 before joining the Coastal Carolina University pitching squad where he posted a 2.90 ERA in 2012.

Loconsole finished his season as a Cyclone in 2010 with a 3.06 ERA before throwing for Western Illinois University.

Former baseball player Mike Madsen and former Head Coach Al Budding traveled to Prague, Czech Republic, in June 2003 to compete in a tournament during Prague Baseball Week. They represented the United States on U.S.A. Athletes, a college all-star team based out of Kansas City.
