Every time the Cyclones attempted to claw back at Triton College, the Trojans would score again. Moraine Valley fell in the one-game battle, 13-10.
A big first inning for the Trojans saw them take a 4-0 lead before the Cyclones had their big inning in the third. Aiden Radtke (1-for-4, RBI) and Ryder Johnson (1-for-4) started the inning with walks. Radtke stole third and was able to score on a fielding error to get his team on the board. Alejandro Munoz then walked to get two on. Timothy O'Connell (3-for-5, 2B, RBI) drove in another run with a line drive double to left field. Munoz then scored on a wild pitch to get within one of the Trojans. The go-ahead run came from Troy Vosburgh (2-for-4, HR, 2 RBIs) who crushed a two-run homerun.
With only a narrow lead, the Cyclones were unable to hold back the Trojan offense as they continued to score in the next five innings. Although the Cyclones collected additional runs, it wasn't enough to retake the lead. Christian Rosales (1-for-2, RBI) and Caston Norris (1-for-3, RBI) also earned runs this game.
