
It was all Cyclones all day in their dominating sweep of Illinois Valley Community College.
GAME ONE
Although it took an inning to get their bearings, once they did, the Cyclones were all hits and runs, some of which was helped by Eagle errors. The Cyclones took this first game 8-1, outhitting the Eagles 8-to-3.
It was a solid day at the plate for Christian Rosales who had a double and went 2-for-2, crossing the plate once. Alejandro Munoz (1-for-4) and Ryder Johnson (1-for-3) each had 2 RBIs while Andrew Phelan (2-for-4), Preston Lund and Caston Norris each had one RBI. Joshua Keller threw all seven innings walking two and striking out seven.
GAME TWO
The Cyclones outhit and outplayed the Eagles in a 9-0 shutout.
Allowing just three hits, Lucas Hicks shut down the Eagles, striking out five and walking just three this game. Rosales was a superstar at the plate once again, going 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs to lead the offensive attack. Munoz (1-for-3) had 2 RBIs while Johnson (2-for-2) collected one. Norris (2-for-2) crossed the plate three times while Jayden Armstrong (1-for-2) did so twice.
