Tough outing with Bulldogs

The Cyclones had the edge over South Suburban College until the final innings where they ended up losing 9-7.

Christian Rosales started the game with a line drive single. He ultimately scored after Dimitri Spatharakis grounded into a fielder's choice to go up 1-0. Spatharakis rocked a homerun over left field in the fifth inning before Christian Cardenas doubled in Ayden Lasson, who walked in the sixth. Meanwhile, the Cyclones' ace pitcher Xavier Aguilar forced the Bulldogs into ground outs, pop outs and eight strikeouts.

The Cyclones scored three more runs in the seventh after Niko Mastoras hit a solo homerun, Emmet Barry singled in Jack Hoh who doubled and Arnoldo Velazquez scored Spatharakis on a fielder's choice grounder. They scored their seventh run in the eighth inning after Hoh hit a sac fly to score Rosales who doubled in his at-bat.

The bottom of the eighth is where the trouble started as the Cyclones walked batters and allowed enough hits for the Bulldogs to score nine runs. Moraine Valley was unable to score in their next at-bat, taking the loss.
