Cyclones split with Braves

The Cyclones were able to split two with Black Hawk College, earning their first win of the season.

From the start, the Cyclones were able to get on the board first after Gilberto Hernandez drew a walk to score a run. The third inning they were able to get six more runs thanks to singles from Peter Mitchell, Nate Pacetti, Arnoldo Velazquez and Ben Cash as well as a walk from Jack Hoh. Daniel Rosado earned the win, going five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out six. Dane McDonald and Cole Hermanson pitched in relief with McDonald earning the save.

The second game was one the Cyclones want to quickly move past. The Braves scored early and often while the Cyclones struggled to get on the board, losing the effort 23-0. Maxwell Hensler, Jake Cummins and Cash each had hits for the Cyclones.
