In their first Skyway Conference matchup of the season, the Cyclones split two with the Oakton Community College Owls.

GAME 1
The Cyclones started strong, batting in four runs in their first at-bat. But the Owls tied things up after the second inning. With the game tied at four in the top of the fourth, William Miller (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) tripled on the first pitch to score the go-ahead run. They added more insurance in the sixth inning and held the Owls off for the 6-4 victory.

The Cyclones tallied 11 hits in this game including ones from Robert Warchol (2-for-4, RBI), Anthony Cappelletti (2-for-3, 2B, 2 runs), Gilberto Hernandez (2-for-4, 2B, RBI) and Miller.

Daniel Rosado earned the victory, allowing seven hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out 10.

GAME 2
Despite out-hitting the Owls four to three, the Cyclones could not capitalize at the plate, losing the night cap 5-1.

The Cyclones got on the board first in the third inning thanks to Maximus Bullock (2-for-3), but that turned into the lone run. Moraine Valley held off the Owls until the bottom of the sixth inning when they scored all five runs. Tim Roe took the loss for Moraine Valley, going five and a third innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out eight.
